At George and James we design homes that are tailored to the people who live in them.

Our experience lies in the design and delivery of beautifully crafted properties, including full refurbishment projects, new homes, replacement dwellings, estate buildings and barn conversions.

We work with you to understand the full scope of your project, from design to obtaining planning permission, through to technical design and construction.

Our team, based in West Sussex, will act as your guide throughout, bringing clarity to a process that often feels complex.

Who we are

We are Simon and Darren, co-founders, ARB-registered and RIBA-chartered architects, and partners in life and practice. Together with our team, we’ve shaped homes across the South Downs and beyond. From country retreats and legacy builds to refined refurbishments, our work is grounded in purpose and integrity.
