South Downs Architects

We've now put down roots in Haslemere, West Sussex, deep within the beautiful South Downs National Park. We are lucky to work from an old, refurbished pumping shed, after many years based in central London we really love having our design studio in such a beautiful rural location, and close to home near Haslemere. We still work nationally, our architectural design projects still take us all over London, the South East, and beyond.

Every building design should make you feel good – whether it's your home, your workplace, or perhaps a farm shop, cafe or yoga studio. Architecture should be simple, sustainable and functional, beautiful yet understated.

In our practice we have a variety of design experience from working on a great mix of projects, from private residential homes, including new build, renovations and extensions; multiple unit housing schemes; commercial retail and office designs; we have even worked on a public library scheme and the café at Westminster Abbey! Our different perspectives and experiences bring a great deal to the design process, and we love bouncing ideas off each other and putting our heads together when a problem seems particularly tricky.  

We listen to our clients before we do anything else. We come to your architectural project with open eyes and ears, and with honesty, curiosity and care. To this we add our professional design knowledge and experience from the variety of architectural projects we have worked on, all inspiring us and pushing us a little further.
