We are award winning, contemporary architects based in the pretty town of Midhurst, West Sussex. We have set up our studio in a fabulous, refurbished old dairy barn which, when paired with lashings of fresh air, sets our creative minds going.

Experienced West Sussex Architects

Our studio is in an old dairy not too far from Midhurst, and our windows look out over fields, woods and the odd cow wandering past.

We love working close to home and getting to know our patch, but we haven’t lost our collective sense of adventure. Our projects take us all over the South Downs, the South East, London and beyond.

That’s the belief that runs through our work, through our conversations, and through the life of our studio. Talk to any one of us, and you’ll find we all share that same sense of commitment and that same strength of feeling.

If you’re excited about what a good building could do for you, we’d love to talk. On the other hand, if you’re not too bothered about what your building will look like or how it will make you feel, then we’re probably not the architects for you.

Our design experience.

We all bring different perspectives to the table, each member of the George & James team has rich design experience, between us we have worked on everything, from
one-off bespoke houses, to cafes, workspaces and even yoga studios. We love bouncing ideas off each other and putting our heads together when a problem seems particularly knotty. Those are some of the very best things about being the resourceful, close-knit team we are.

Although we enjoy working locally on projects in West Sussex, we do work on many projects in areas of London and the South East. In fact, if it’s the right project and the right client, we’ll work almost anywhere.
