The shortlist is out for this years’ Daily Telegraph Homebuilding & Renovating ‘Home of the Year Awards’ and we are absolutely delighted that our Slaithwaite Road project is included in the list.
Slaithwaite Road was a challenging project to work on, as it was about working with the existing building and reimagining the space, rather than extending, to create the home our clients wanted. When we first visited the property, it was dark and a little uninviting, our designs have totally transformed the space by remodelling the layout to make the interior flow together, with additional glazing to connect with the central courtyard. The home now is a light, bright and relaxing space. We are thrilled with how successful the transformation has been, and delighted to have this award recognition.
The judges have described the project as ‘a masterclass in understated, but transformative, design, the ground floor of this house was remodelled to make the most of the courtyard garden and reconnect disjointed rooms.’
Please cast your vote in the ‘Readers’ Choice Award’ category, voting is open until 2nd October, and all category winners will be announced on 8th December. The annual awards have been running for nearly 3 decades, celebrating the best in self build, renovations and extensions across the UK.
